HCP Selected a Winner in the 33rd Annual Telly Awards

TAMPA, Fla.—(June 20, 2012)—The Telly Awards has named HCP as a winner of two awards in its 33rd Annual Telly Awards competition, for their piece titled “The Best Bull.” HCP has been awarded a Bronze People’s Choice Telly and a Bronze Direct Marketing Telly. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.

HCP’s winning campaign incorporated the production of a unique online HD video contest for longtime client USF Federal Credit Union (USFFCU)—the on-campus credit union chartered to serve the University of South Florida’s students, faculty, staff and alumni. For the campaign, HCP’s creative team thought outside of the bullpen, by launching an online competition to discover how creative people have become at saving their money during the economic downturn. The “Are You the Best Bull?” competition was extremely successful and won various other industry awards, in addition to helping the client exceed established membership benchmarks.

Contestants had 60-seconds or less to show how they have been creative in saving their money in the passing bear market. Once they created their video, they posted it on YouTube. Videos were judged based on originality, creativity, and the ability to integrate the USF Federal Credit Union brand.

Eric Polins, Senior Strategist/Partner at HCP said, “We are extremely happy to be surrounded by a very creative team of people and are even luckier to have clients that trust us enough to live outside the box when it comes to creative ways of marketing their services.”

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

For its 33rd season, The Telly Awards once again joined forces with YouTube to give the public the power to view and rate videos submitted as part of the People’s Telly Awards. In addition to recognition from the Silver Telly Council, the judging panel that selects the Telly Awards winners, the Internet community helps decide the People’s Telly Awards winners.
