HCP Develops Viral Videos for St. Petersburg-Headquartered Credit Union Service Organization PSCU

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (April 27, 2012) Tampa-based research, strategy and marketing firm HCP recently unveiled a series of viral videos for PSCU, as a part of a larger rebranding effort. PSCU is a St. Petersburg-based leading provider of traditional and online financial services to credit unions across the country. Under the leadership of new president Mike Kelly, the company initiated a rebranding of the 35 year old firm to reflect its forward momentum.

To better translate the benefits of the forward thinking programs, a series of video vignettes were developed featuring ways in which PSCU member credit unions are using PSCU-developed tools to improve their service offerings to their individual memberships. HCP took creative liberty with the highlighted programs, opting to make the services of PSCU more relevant to viewers through a lighthearted tone and “edgy” presentation. The HCP creative team took topics such as credit cards, debits cards, risk management, member care, and small business services, as examples of the PSCU difference.

The spots were designed to be used at the Government Affairs Conference in Washington, DC, and have since moved viral, building a significant awareness for the brand’s evolution. Produced in-house at HCP on a very limited budget, the series took advantage of the extensive creative and video capabilities of the HCP organization, which includes producers of numerous nationally marketed television and trade related broadcast programs, as well as original theatrical productions.
