HCP’s Coordinator of Client Services Accepted into the Junior League of Tampa

HCP Associates is excited to announce that our Coordinator of Client Services, Kristen Peebles, has been accepted into the Junior League of Tampa, a non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in the community by serving under-represented populations. The Junior League of Tampa is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty for Tampa’s most disadvantaged children and families by placing high value on empowerment, collaboration, stewardship, and advocacy. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

“Since I was little, I have always found volunteering to be an incredibly enriching experience. In the past, I have been involved in the March of Dimes, Relay for Life, and Habitat for Humanity. Giving back to the Tampa Bay community will be incredibly rewarding and I look forward to all the relationships I will build through this network of extraordinary individuals,” said Peebles.

Founded in 1926, The Junior League of Tampa, Inc. is an organization of over 2,000 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leaderships of trained volunteers. The Junior League of Tampa embraces a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and beliefs through the diverse voices of their membership and those which reflect the diversity of the children and families they serve, fueling their innovation and improving their voluntarism. Equity and inclusion are at the core of all their efforts.

The organization specifically focuses on improving the lives of children and families touched by the child welfare system, specifically through the continuum of foster care. In addition, their efforts provide educational programs which aim to support literacy, life skills, health, and nutrition.

Several of the Junior League of Tampa’s programs include: the Diaper Bank, Food 4 Kids, Girl Power!, Kids Connect, Kids in the Kitchen, Love Bundles, and the Family Literacy Nights.
