HCP launches awareness campaign for the Veterans Memorial Park and Museum

TAMPA, Fla. (Dec. 4, 2019) – HCP Associates was recently engaged to help create awareness of the Hillsborough County Veterans Memorial Park and Rear Admiral Leroy Collins Jr. Veterans Museum. In partnership with the Veterans Memorial Park and Museum committee, HCP launched a new website for the Park – one of the most important tools to creating awareness.

The new website adds more functionality and emphasizes all the amenities of the Park, including several Memorials, a Museum, Veterans Resource Center, and the future Military Learning Center that will be built on the property.

The new website highlights the beauty of the 18 memorials at the Park that honor the brave Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Coast Guardsmen that served our country in the different wars throughout history. It also offers easy access to the Park’s popular calendar of events, as well as a way to support the Park, whether it is through an artifact donation, monetary donation or purchasing a brick, paver or bench.

Additionally, the new website offers new and enhanced ways to help the Park raise money to maintain the campus and build the state-of-the-art Military Learning Center of Tampa Bay, which will serve as a regional hub and event space for local students, veterans, family members and defense contractors.

“The new website does a great job of organizing and displaying all of the photos and information, and is easy to navigate,” said Tom Fletcher, Vice-Chairman of the Veterans Memorial Park and Museum Committee. “We especially like that it highlights the Military Learning Center, which we’re currently raising money to build.”

The Rear Admiral Leroy Collins Jr. Veterans Museum serves the community and displays and accepts donations from families and others wanting to share military artifacts, weaponry, uniforms and other items commonly used by our armed forces personnel.

The Veterans Resource Center, which is on the same property as the museum and park, opened on Dec. 7, 2017, and provides administrative support to veterans and their families and helps with outreach to local professional agencies.

“The Veterans Memorial Park and Museum is very important to our community,” said Sean Coniglio, managing partner of HCP Associates. “It honors our veterans in a noble and respected way and gives the local community a place to go and reflect, but also to learn about our past.”

The Veterans Memorial Park and Museum is located at 3602 Highway 301 N. in Tampa. The hours of operation are as follows: the park is open daily from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., the museum is open daily from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and the Veterans Resource Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
