HCP Associates Completes Destination Brand Awareness and Strategic Plan for Hernando County

TAMPA, Fla. (April 3, 2023) – HCP Associates recently completed a strategic plan for Florida’s Adventure Coast, the destination management organization that promotes tourist destinations and works to attract visitors to Hernando County.

In 2016, Hernando County’s tourism office rebranded to “Florida’s Adventure Coast” to distinguish the county from nearby counties and other counties originally part of the Nature Coast. In 2022, HCP Associates was engaged by the county to conduct a strategic planning process to evaluate the awareness of the brand and identify key objectives to grow and sustain tourism in the county over the next decade.

HCP used a verbose set of data to draw conclusions about tourism and sentiments of the county in its respective areas. As part of the strategic planning process, HCP utilized first-party research methods that supported the strategic planning process. These methods included conducting stakeholder interviews with community members, an online brand awareness survey, administering dispatch interviews of visitors to county attractions, and reviewing data from competitors and other sources.

HCP Associates will present the findings of the strategic plan to Hernando County’s Tourism Development Council in late May.
