Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Vila moved to Tampa at a young age and has been a Floridian ever since. Vila is currently a junior at the University of Florida pursing his Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising with a minor in Public Relations.
While attending the University of Florida, Vila discovered his passion for Advertising when he was introduced to UF’s school newspaper, The Independent Florida Alligator, the largest student-run newspaper in the United States. After mentorship from older students involved in the publication, Vila soon became intrigued by the paper’s compelling storytelling nature. Viewing captivating advertisements within the school newspaper sparked his interest in visual creativity and strategic thinking.
Courses such as Principles of Advertising, Principles of Marketing, and Principles of Public Relations have further solidified his interest to dive into the world of advertising and marketing. As an intern at HCP, Vila will assist team members in writing content for B2B and B2C audiences. In addition, he will aid in the development of social media campaigns for various retainer clients. Through his internship, Vila will be exposed to research, copywriting, and strategic thinking to maximize marketing efforts for clients. Vila believes that this internship will provide him real-world experience, which will enable him to grow in the context of his overall professional goals.
In his free time, Vila enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. He is also an avid sports enthusiast. He loves to watch different sporting events on television to relax and unwind. He specifically has a passion for golf.
