Military Child Education Coalition Teams with HCP to Develop New Web Initiative.
KILLEEN, TX - (July 19, 2004) - Hill, Coniglio, Polins & Associates was hired today to develop a new Internet strategy for the Texas-based Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC).
MCEC serves as an advocate for children by supporting military families through the transition process of changing schools. The average military family moves every two years making the need for established systems and processes in resolving transition issues essential. MCEC does this by obtaining and providing the most current and accurate information schools and military installations need to assist children in transitioning.
HCP & Associates is tasked with redesigning MCEC's current Web site to help provide a more dynamic and international presence that serves as an informational resource tool for military families and organizations across the globe.
MCEC also has a strong history in research projects and the production of several publications pertaining to military-related student issues. These publications include booklets, packets and CD-ROMs that provide information and support to the military community. In addition, the United States Army tasked MCEC with conducting a study to determine the effects of transition during high school years for a military-related student. Additional projects include the development of an Assessment Resource Center that provides information regarding state school testing requirements, allowing parents to compare and contrast different state testing policies.
By creating a new Web presence, MCEC will be able to communicate more effectively with participating schools, installations and parents as well as serve as a resource base and networking center for all parties involved.
For more information about MCEC, please visit the Web site at www.militarychild.org.
