Retired General Tommy Franks launches Web Initiative with Book in Scopes.
Tampa, FL - (March 3, 2004) - As Retired General Tommy Franks sits in his Tampa office, which is nothing less than a small museum filled with his life's efforts, he focuses on three things: his family, his new book deal and his national speaking engagements. HCP & Associates met Franks during a broadcast interview utilized in a national fundraising campaign for the future Pepin Heart Hospital and Research Institute at University Community Hospital. HCP & Associates will be producing Franks' new Internet presence in order to promote a national book tour.
Franks, who led US forces in two wars in two years in Afghanistan and Iraq, signed a book deal in October of 2003 to write his memoirs. The book will be published by ReganBooks, an imprint of publishing house HarperCollins. His new Internet presence will target online book sales, national and international speaking engagements, private consulting contracts and guest appearances nationwide. The site will feature a dynamic online press room with streaming video, press releases, autographed pictures and up-to-date appearances.
As commander-in-chief of the Central Command, Franks successfully led US and coalition forces in wars that ousted the Taliban regime from Afghanistan in 2001 and toppled the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq in April.
The new Web presence is scheduled to launch by mid-April, 2004 at www.tommyfranks.com.
