HCP Associates Selected to Conduct Community Sentiment Study for HART

TAMPA, Fla. (July 20, 2018)— Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART), Hillsborough County’s mass transit system, selected HCP Associates, Inc. to conduct the organization’s first community sentiment study.

The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) was created in October of 1979 to plan, finance, acquire, construct, operate and maintain mass transit facilities and supply transportation assistance in Hillsborough County. HART provides convenient, affordable public transportation options tailored to contemporary lifestyles. The transit agency provides fixed-route local and express bus service, door-to-door paratransit service, compressed natural gas fleets, a lightened version of Bus Rapid Transit, and manages the TECO Line Streetcar System.

HART wanted to gain a deeper understanding of how the community perceived, valued, and felt about the transit organization.  HCP worked with HART leadership to design a mixed methodology that consisted of interviews with important members of the community and an online survey based off the interview results.

This survey established a baseline for the organization to repeat and be measured against in the future. HCP will track improvements in awareness and satisfaction in the years to come.

“This was an important study to implement among the other metrics senior leadership has adopted and we believe the results will aid them in key decisions associated with how the market various programs in the future,” said Sean Coniglio, Managing Partner, HCP Associates.
