A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Polur recently joined HCP Associates as a summer intern before entering his senior year at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. At Wesleyan, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Romance Studies (Spanish and Italian) and will graduate in May 2019. At HCP, Polur will help support the Tampa Bay Rays 2020 campaign in its effort to “Keep the Rays in Tampa Bay”.

Polur is a political junkie, having worked and volunteered on campaigns throughout Pinellas County in roles such as Finance Intern and Deputy Campaign Manager. On campus, he works for the Wesleyan Media Project, which studies the media’s influence, through political advertisements and local media sources, on public opinion. With those experiences, he has begun more in-depth media analysis in school with his professors.

Since his early childhood, Polur has been an avid hockey player and fan. He played two seasons of NCAA ice hockey at Wesleyan and many more as a youth player around Florida and New England. He also worked as a communications intern for the Tampa Bay Lightning in their front office, where he worked with league and team executives and media personnel in preparation for the upcoming season.

In his down time, Polur enjoys playing hockey, reading by the pool or beach, meeting new people, and all things Tampa Bay sports.
