Challenge:

Solutions Management, Inc. (SMI) is a New York-based maintenance service provider for niche (high-end) retail chain stores. Core competencies include janitorial services, floor care, window and awning care, high-dusting, power washing, and emergency services. The company wanted nationwide services rolled out in addition to a new brand and enhanced visibility in a niche market space.

Solution:

HCP started with a full research study to evaluate the industry within a broad spectrum of retail chains, both high-end and staple. HCP conducted strategic planning sessions with ownership and senior level management to establish where they best fit based on strength of services, competitive offerings, and positioning. HCP created a brand platform with a new corporate identity and a unique positioning statement: “Perfecting the Balance of Maintenance.” Coincidentally, HCP branded “Interior Maintenance Services” (IMS) as a unique specialty market in the Retail Store Maintenance industry.

HCP did a national roll-out within the Retail Facilities industry by producing various print-based communications tools for business development efforts and generated press releases to announce the new brand and a suite of enhanced services. HCP designed a new website presence, created a scalable tradeshow booth for various association-sponsored shows, produced viral HD videos for social media marketing, and produced a series of print advertisements for a number of market-associated publications.

Packaged service offerings better aligned client requirements with niche services and the business continues to grow at a very high rate annually. With expansion of national clients, the need for retention marketing developed, and HCP created a campaign process for unique touch-point premiums to better engage the customers and prospects monthly.

SMI’s growth as a nationwide leader of Interior Maintenance Services has led them to create another entity to specifically handle emergency services and disaster recovery.

HCP is SMI’s marketing firm of record and handles their day-to-day marketing services and the annual market budget. With HCP’s involvement, the company’s growth has hit over 36 percent in less than 18 months of deployment.
