Steve Shaw
Shaw has a strong background media research, with a concentration in publishing (newspapers and magazines), broadcast (network and cable) and interactive media. In addition, he has conducted primary research for non-media related companies in the areas of consumer satisfaction, new product evaluation, advertising effectiveness, consumer shopping analysis employee research and public opinion polling (conducted a national public opinion poll for 5 years in conjunction with the Associated Press). He has also conducted research for non-profit organizations such as the United Way and the Central Virginia Food Bank/Meals on Wheels program.
Shaw received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond (VA). He continued his education with postgraduate studies in research and statistics at Virginia Commonwealth University. He currently serves on the marketing committee for the Central Virginia Food Bank. He is a regional past president of the INMA (International Newspaper Marketing Association) and a former international board member of that organization. He is a past president of the NAA (Newspaper Association of America)Research Federation and a past president of the Richmond (VA) American Marketing Association.
